Pros
You really can’t see much beyond the tour of the site without registering, which is free. Once you’ve filled in your profile you can do some limited searches to see what kinds of results you might return. To communicate with any members, do any detailed searches, or even view other people’s profiles at all you’ll have to join the site.
The profile is where you communicate your likes and dislikes, who it is you are looking for, and what you’re looking for them for. As with any other dating or personals site, on Adult Date Link your profile is critical to your success. These days you can pretty much count on little attention being paid to a profile that doesn’t have a picture.
As an unpaid member the only search you’re allowed to perform is their Quick search, but paid members can get far more specific. The basic search allows you to set a geographic range, either by country or by the distance from your home. The criteria on the Detail search is pretty vanilla, limited to basic personal information.
If you’re looking for someone who speaks a certain language, or you’re only interested in people of a certain height, hair color, body type, whatever, all that can be put into your Detailed search. They also have a matching function that will pick out prospects based on your profile data.
You can upload more than just the picture you’ve associated with your profile; in fact, you can upload an entire gallery of pictures if you so choose. If you’ve got a camera and microphone you can get involved in their online chat rooms. The help section on the site seems pretty comprehensive, so you’ll find most of your questions easy to get answered.
There’s a message board on the site, although that looked pretty generic. I found a “Sexy Links” page, but it really didn’t have much there other than products you can buy. If you’re familiar with dating sites at all you’ll have no trouble using this, and particularly if you live in a large area you’re likely to find some potential here!
Cons
They offer such limited access to the site with free registration that you’re not going to get much of a feel for how useful this will be to you. I understand not wanting to give away the farm, but blocking even viewing a prospective match’s profile is a bit over the top.
As best I can tell you can’t really filter the results based on the age range the other person is looking for, so you’ll have to wade through a lot of profiles that may not be interested in you at all to get to the ones who could be.
Honestly, I can’t say that there was anything about Adult Date Link that really made me dislike it, but it’s very bland even for a general dating site. They don’t offer videos from members, and other than the video chat they don’t have a messenger service of any kind.
Conclusion
Overall, the word I would use to describe Adult Date Link is “generic.” I know that all dating sites are basically alike, but they don’t even appear to have made an effort to distinguish themselves in any way. The message board was boring, and there are no perks with this membership like access to online erotica. I can’t say I’d try to prevent you from joining the site, but at the same time I’d warn you not to expect too much.
