When it comes to shopping I don’t always go for the name brand, because frankly the very idea of paying for all the money they spend promoting the product annoys the hell out of me. Actually a lot of the time I’ve found lesser known products that are far cheaper and every bit as good. At the same time I can tell you plenty of stories about how I’ve found the name brands don’t really cost all that much more, and the not so well known products turn out to be pretty crappy!
When it comes to personal ad/dating sites, there are more generic and sub-generic alternatives than you can possibly know – sometimes it seems like everybody and their friggin’ mother is running a site. Then there is Adult Friend Finder. There’s a reason that most of the sites in this market look just like it – they’re pretty much the standard in the industry, the big kid on the block that everyone wants to imitate!
Pros
Without trying to overwhelm you with numbers, consider some of Adult Friend Finder’s vital statistics. They clam just shy of twenty million members, over four hundred thousand of them in my state alone; when I was online there were a hundred ten thousand of them online. They offer member blogs, erotic magazine articles, advice lines, and much more. You can chat with others on your webcam, too!
With that many profiles to draw from, you can understand why you can get downright specific about what you’re looking for. Oh, I don’t just mean by location, gender, age, and body style; you can also specify what you want to do with them when you find them! They’ve got folks looking for erotic chat/email/phone, discrete relationships, group sex, bondage, S&M, and cross dressing, among others. If you can’t find it here, I don’t know if you’re going to find it!
Like most sites, you can register for free but have virtually no privileges at all. They have two membership plans (Gold and Silver), and you can purchase memberships in one month, three month, and one year plans. Above and beyond that they have a couple of other options for additional monthly fees, among them access to adult movies, highlighting for your profile, and an option that allows regular members to email you without them paying any fees.
There were quite a few people right in my immediate area looking for discrete relationships or one on one sex, and I’m kind of out in the boondocks where you might think they’d be few and far between. Even when I went looking for something far kinkier – just what that is you don’t need to know! – I wouldn’t have to travel too far if I should make a connection. Overall, it’s pretty easy to understand why Adult Friend Finder is the biggest and the best site of its kind on the web right now!
Cons
They’re a little too eager to sell you an upgrade for this or that in my opinion, but overall I have no real complaints about what I found on Adult Friend Finder.
Conclusion
It really isn’t an exaggeration to call Adult Friend Finder the standard that all other personals sites try to meet. They have a huge database of personal profiles, with people from the smallest towns to the largest communities. Even more important, they have people into whatever you may be looking to hook up for.
The site itself is pretty easy to use, and they certainly offer you a number of options to improve your chances. There are plenty of extras that you can purchase, too. Overall, if you’re looking to hook up with somebody for anything from a quickie fuck to a long term master/slave relationship, you’re likely to find it on Adult Friend Finder!
