Pros:
Alt offers it’s members a supportive alternative lifestyle community and access to personals which allows members to find like minded and open minded people. Members will have access to anonymous email, chat and instant messaging and access to millions of profiles with sexy photos.
At the time of his review there were 16,999 members online, there were 17,651 new photos added this week and 3,558,436 active members. When you take out a membership with Alt you will have access to 1000’s of member’s videos, live member webcam fun, message boards, blogs, and exclusive fetish magazine.
The Quick Search feature that is available is open to singles and couples regardless of your lifestyle. It is also open to TS, TV & TG and groups including both men and women. You can be seeking one person to join you, groups or a TS, TV or TG.
There is a huge range of different fetishes or kinks you may be looking to enjoy such as; Vibrators, whips, anal sex (giving or receiving), 24/7 (total power exchange), Bondage, Cock and Ball Torture, or clamps. You can search by country, state/ province, age ranges and zip code for the U.S only.
It is also wise to take the Purity Test too before you join Alt. This test will see how pure you are compared to other people.
Joining Alt was quite easy. All you really have to do is fill out the form and include a small introduction, check your email login and you find yourself inside the free section of this site.
You do have to remember though that unless you upgrade to either the Gold or Silver membership packages you won’t have access to as many benefits or search features. Inside the free section can you can use the basic search, you are able to access the Magazine and Blogs. I was quite surprised that at the time of this review you were able to browse by location a total of 18,974 blogs and their hundreds of thousands of posts.
The Magazine section includes lots of goodies, including erotic stories, safe sex articles, jokes, relationship humor, sex secrets, advice, the Sexpert Corner, Sex in the News and Exotic Stories. You are able to add your own questions and you are able to submit articles also.
But of course the most important part of this site is the ability to search for that special someone with and open mind and who is willing to share your secrets and desires. The basic search feature certainly does offer numerous search options but it also mentions that if you are a Silver or Gold Member you will enjoy a more extensive search criteria.
Of course just like this site’s alternative lifestyle and open mindedness they tease you by showing you in shaded areas what you could search by if you upgrade your membership. Since I started reviewing this site just over 30 minutes before this sentence the active member database now has 3,559,136 active members… in that short period of time over 1,000 new members from around the world joined Alt.
There certainly are many popular search features including new member gallery, most recent video introductions, new member matches. The Chat Rooms have been divided into sections for the different countries. You can view the topical rooms that include, cybersex room, Newbie Room, Veteran’s Room and the Lobby. Other rooms include; Gender eXchange Room, Polyamory, Domme Room and the Steel Mill for men only who are interested in finding like-minded male partners.
To help make your search as easy as possible and for others to show an interest in you, you will find all the profile features inside your Account Section. You can even set up photos, a video introduction and a voice introduction. Fill out all the sections and others will know just how interested you are in finding someone and they may even seek you out for their special fantasies and desires.
If you upgrade your account you will have access to featured listings, private chatrooms, a profession profile edit. All members can create a blog, take a personality test and you can confirm your identity and fill out the ALT Fetish checklist.
Checking out the site features and benefits is a good idea and it is only you who knows whether you wish to upgrade to a Gold membership or a Silver membership. Both premium memberships give you access to more features and of course your advanced search capabilities to find your best match are enhanced.
One of the special features I was impressed with was the ability to browse by Country. When you clicked on the country of your choice you are taken to a huge category list and that list is extensive making your search quite simple. Or you can use the search feature to find that special like-minded person.
Cons:
The only real issue I had with the site was having to pay to get the extra benefits. But then again if it helps you find someone who is open minded like you and who is willing to share their secrets and desires with you, then it will be worth it.
Conclusion:
The easy to use search and browse sections were a bonus for members because it makes searching for an open minded and like-minded person a hell of a lot easier. The extensive database proves how popular the alternative lifestyle is and I believe joining this site and upgrading will definitely be worth the small fee you pay.
Finding that special person to help you live your fantasies is only a search feature away. The chatrooms, blogs and magazines will help you meet some very interesting people.
