The Bdsm Date Link Review
BDSM Date Link offers you a place to meet real BDSM singles in your area. With an easy to use search feature it is possible to meet your new Master or find a submissive for some pleasure and or pain. Men and women may also have the opportunity to find a Mistress to obey and possibly worship.
Pros:
The search feature on the outside of the site looks relatively easy to use. It is very basic but it allows you to find a male or female in your country and if you are looking for someone in a particular age group then this feature is beneficial to your search. The front page mentions that there are thousands of members online right now, but I am not sure how many of those members are actually part of the BDSM community.
The promise of live chat looks quite good too… I think it’s time to actually venture into the site to see if this site really is a join free site and if this site offers people the opportunity to find other BDSM like-minded people.
When you enter into the free member’s section you are able to edit your profile. Now you do need to remember that a profile is important because it will give you a better chance to be found by someone interested in you. The profile section also allows you to upload your photo and of course it allows you to list the type of person you are looking for too.
On the main entrance page you will find a navigation menu at the top of the page and also down the left hand side. Your profile is easy to set up and easy to edit and add your photo.
There are several ways to search inside this site. You can do a Quick Search, a username search, you can search your saved searches or you can go with the Expanded Options using detailed search, keyword search or personality search. Of you want to try something a little different you can go with the Two – Way matching option. The Two-Way search uses your profile information to find people you like who are looking for people like you.
I’m not sure whether this is a good thing or a bad thing but I couldn’t find anywhere in this site where you have to upgrade your membership of a fee. Although there were additional features you may need to grab your credit card for; such as the Live Chat / Cam features. I found a message board but it is open to all members of the Adult Date Link network of dating sites.
Cons:
Unfortunately there is no real way of establishing how many BDSM like-minded members are in this database as this dating site is part of the network of niche based dating sites. I found my login details actually gave me access to all their sites but at the same time I should complain because I only had to join once.
The drawback is that if you were looking in two different sites because you were interested in looking for a straight date in one and a Master or a Mistress in another your information follows you across. This could be disastrous and you may scare some one off.
The Live Chat function takes you off this site to another site called Cam Date and this is where you get your credit card out to buy a certain number of credits. The good thing at the moment is you can have 200 credits at no cost. But I’d read the fine print first before chatting.
It was a shame to see that this site did not have a forum just for BDSM like-minded people. And no where could I find out just how many like minded people who were members of this site.
Conclusion:
Overall this site is just a general dating site. You may find some BDSM like minded people inside that can help you fulfill a need or a desire or help you live a fantasy. I believe that if this site was true to the BDSM community they may just make a few changes to ensure they cater to everyone’s needs. One good thing I found or couldn’t find within this site was an additional fee to upgrade to a membership that would give you access to lots of extras.
