Once you sign up as a basic member of the site you’ll access the home page, where you’ll find your contacts and they’ll instruct you on the steps necessary to complete your profile. With a basic membership you’re window shopping, for the most part.
As with any site, the more detailed you are in completing your profile the better results you’re going to get. Even the folks you might try and contact will undoubtedly check this out before they reply to you. Rule of thumb is no picture, no play, of course.
You can review profiles to get a feel for what you’ll enjoy once you become a full member. A lot of functions like viewing and replying to messages, and even information about who’s viewed your profile, aren’t available to you until you become a paid subscriber.
Basic search on XXX Black Box doesn’t allow any geographic settings, so you’ll get folks from anywhere in the world. This is great if you’re looking for live webcam chat or performances, phone sex, erotic email, and the like.
Advanced search lets you set all kinds of criteria for your query, including the distance from your location. With a basic membership you can refine your search down to the relationship status of the profiles you are searching. Upgraded members can get totally specific, including fetishes, body style, piercings, and more.
As a basic member you’ll have no trouble finding the upgrade page, because close to every link you click will take you to the join page. There are lots of extras that come with a Silver or Gold membership. Many members have homemade videos, some of them quite hardcore. There are a few features available to Gold members that Silver subscribers don’t get, including being placed on the top of the listings above the Silver and Basic members. Cons
Obviously, the limitations placed on a basic membership make it difficult to decide whether it was worth a trial membership, let alone a month long subscription at the Gold or Silver levels. I don’t expect them to give it away, but I sort of expected at least a taste, rather than barely a whiff.
If you are looking for online activities you’re probably going to find what you’re looking for, but for one-on-one meetings I’m a bit skeptical. There’s a certain sameness to a lot of the profiles that made me wonder.
The FAQ Section of the site was a bit hard to find. It was organized in such a way that you have to wade through a lot of technical information about video chats and the like just to get to the basics like profiles.
Conclusion
There are definitely plenty of profiles and pictures on XXX Black Book that appear to be from real people, although some of them are just a bit too slick for my tastes. The site itself is well designed and fairly easy to use. With patience and the little bit of luck required from any site of this type, I expect you could find the person of your dreams – or at least your erotic fantasies – from here!
